Sites I'm currently involved in
- University of Leeds School of Geography Computing Courses
- Mostly my materials, put together for students. Python, Java, JavaScript, web-mapping, plus links to Leeds-local organisations.
- Wonders of Britain
- A project on early Medieval wonders I've been working on for a while.
- MASS Group
- GitHub profile for the Multi-Agent and Social Simulation group which I've chivvied along since 2000. Recently we've run as a Friday afternoon Coding Club, spending a couple of
hours a week doing coding for non-work useful projects.
- International GeoComputation Conference Series
- Which I co-run. GeoComp started at Leeds, and I recently led organising the
21st Birthday conference there. We tried to do some more
unusual stuff, including a crowd-sourced keynote; an
algorave; and a
MicroPython competition.
- Quarry Arts
- Quarry Arts is a science-and-arts education organisation that I've worked with for over ten years. I sit on their advisory board.
- Threshfield Quarry Project
- A project to build an arts and science centre in a quarry near Skipton in the Yorkshire Dales. I've been involved in the project since the inception of at least
part of it by Quarry Arts. Again, I sit on their advisory board.
Sites I'd recommend to students

- More tech news centred than ThePracticalDev.
- The New Aesthetic
- Finding the holes between ethics and technology.
- 3quarks
- Thoughtfully collated and commissioned arts, science, and philosophy pieces.
